Yuengling beer has garnered a near mythic reputation among West Virginians simply by being notoriously hard to get a hold of (it doesn't hurt that it's probably the best beer in its price range). Here in Shepherdstown, acquiring Yeungling was never much of a problem. A quick drive across the river to Sharpsburg, MD was all that was required.

Then in March, Yuengling announced that they would be partnering with 12 mountain state beer distributors to finally bring their product to our shores. Well, this saturday Yuengling's promotions team makes its first-ever appearance in West Virginia at our own Street Fest. On the Yuengling blog today (brewerey's have blogs now, apparently) the brewery noted that "Shepherdstown is the oldest town in West Virginia, so it seems fitting that Yuengling, “America's Oldest Brewery,” is going to help visitors have a wonderful time while they listen to local and regional bands."
